Gus took the time to recommend places for us to visit around the island and places to eat which was super helpful as first time visitors and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring these. Our room was very well equipped, the coffee maker was a delight as was the mini fridge and content, to top it off the garden view was simply stunning and immaculately maintained. Breakfast was utterly divine each morning we felt spoiled, the extra attention to detail from Gus getting to know us and what we liked so he could prepare us something that would set us up for the day was truly exceptional, service above and beyond. All the extra touches throughout our stay were outstanding, so much so we added an extra night as we loved it so much. Gus truly ensures you have an enjoyable visit and one to remember he spends time getting to know his guests and introduces them to one an other which creates a wonderful atmosphere. We had the honour of spending a lovely afternoon with Gus and guests in his beautiful garden chatting away and enjoying the most stunning view sipping champagne (gus wore mine ooops) a laugh and a memory to be treasured. Can't thank the magnificent hosts Gus and Sherry enough for making our trip extra special. Already planning our next trip. Its a 12 out of 10 from us. Thank you very much for your hospitality, be proud of your establishment it's fantastic as are you.

The bedroom was beautiful, amazing view and the added touch of luxuries such as home made wine, robes/slippers, coffee machine and gorgeous home made treats daily. The bed was so comfortable.
The breakfasts were out of this world, made to order, with the best ingredients. We were able to sample traditional Scottish breakfast and the amazing haddock! Our trip was a mother and daughter memory making break and it was made even more special by our surroundings and hosts.

The location is perfect with panoramic views over the bay and a garden to sit and watch the sun going down , only a short walk away from the ferry .
If you want a relaxed holiday with an excellent choice of good quality food , beautiful accommodation , excellent value for money go no further than Highlander House
