Great hosts in Gus and Sherry with the most amazing breakfasts and baked goodies during our stay. Room was lovely and comfy with good linen and a great nights sleep. Well placed on the front with a 5 minute walk into Rothesay. Safe on street parking. Not many places I would stay again and this is one of them.

I went to Rothesay for some relaxing time away and thoroughly enjoyed my weekend. I recommend going to the guided tour of Mount Stuart which was really interesting.

Our hosts were very welcoming, providing delightful treats such as chocolates, delicious home bakes and chilled rosé in our room. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, the bathroom luxurious and perfectly clean.

Breakfast, like everything else was first class, with an extensive choice including lots of healthy options, all beautifully cooked and presented.

Somehow Gus and Sherry have succeeded in combining the high standards of a five star hotel with the intimacy of staying with friends. Clearly all the other guests felt the same as we all lingered over breakfast chatting as if we’d known each other for ever.

What a wonderful gift to make one’s guests feel so relaxed and welcome!

The location is perfect with panoramic views over the bay and a garden to sit and watch the sun going down , only a short walk away from the ferry .
If you want a relaxed holiday with an excellent choice of good quality food , beautiful accommodation , excellent value for money go no further than Highlander House
