I emailed Gus before we arrived asking for a recommendation of where to eat for... read more our anniversary. He recommended the Colintraive Hotel and even offered to drive us to the ferry and come back for us. We received such a warm welcome from Gus and were shown to our room. We stayed in the Glenfinan. A lovely room with floor to ceiling windows. The room was lovely and came will lots of little extras, including bottles of homemade rose wine and a bottle of milk which was perfect. The breakfast was amazing with a great selection of tasty options. We came home after our anniversary meal to a bottle of prosecco in an ice bucket and two glasses. We were both very touched by Gus and Sherry's kindness. Sherry also left some homemade brownies in our room which were delicious. I would highly recommend staying at Highlander House and hope to be back again.

I went to Rothesay for some relaxing time away and thoroughly enjoyed my weekend. I recommend going to the guided tour of Mount Stuart which was really interesting.
