  Charming island experience - Gus was very welcoming and understanding of my dairy intolerance. Breakfast was superb. Although I wasn't able to sample the beautifully presented homemade sweet treats that appeared in the rooms... read more every day an alternative was provided.
The rooms have everything you could want but still retain their original charm. There were even 2 suitcase stands (not just one) which is most unusual! Both rooms had lovely sea views. A very enjoyable stay.

Our room, Glenfinnan, has a superb view... read more over the Firth, is light and very comfortable with lovely extras including wine and superb home made biscuits. Breakfast is to die for with a superb range of cereals, fruit, compote, fruit salad, nuts, seeds etc. and a delicious cooked breakfast. And our host, Gus, was very friendly and accommodating and a fount of useful information, advice and help without ever being in your face. A wonderful end to our tour of Scotland. The quality is so good that this is excellent value for money

  Absolutely "Bute iful"  - Highly recommend The Highlander House B&B, wow what a gem of a place and a fantastic stay! On arrival we were met by Gus who was super friendly and immediately... read more made James and I feel so welcome. Gus took the time to recommend places for us to visit around the island and places to eat which was super helpful as first time visitors and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring these. Our room was very well equipped, the coffee maker was a delight as was the mini fridge and content, to top it off the garden view was simply stunning and immaculately maintained. Breakfast was utterly divine each morning we felt spoiled, the extra attention to detail from Gus getting to know us and what we liked so he could prepare us something that would set us up for the day was truly exceptional, service above and beyond. All the extra touches throughout our stay were outstanding, so much so we added an extra night as we loved it so much. Gus truly ensures you have an enjoyable visit and one to remember he spends time getting to know his guests and introduces them to one an other which creates a wonderful atmosphere. We had the honour of spending a lovely afternoon with Gus and guests in his beautiful garden chatting away and enjoying the most stunning view sipping champagne (gus wore mine ooops) a laugh and a memory to be treasured. Can't thank the magnificent hosts Gus and Sherry enough for making our trip extra special. Already planning our next trip. Its a 12 out of 10 from us.
